Encora Energy originated and developed the Haverton Hill gas peaking project in partnership with our client a trading company, securing a 15-year Capacity Market contract in the 2016 T-4 auction.
The 6MW site - comprising three 2MW MTU engines - was constructed in 2017 and reached commercial operation in early 2018. Encora managed the full project lifecycle, from specification and vendor selection to construction oversight and commissioning.
Now in long-term operation, Haverton continues to be fully managed by Encora, including all on-site operations and maintenance. The site is remotely monitored and dispatched via Encora’s proprietary ChipCob system, allowing our client to focus entirely on optimising trading and market returns.
