Encora Energy completed technical due diligence for a portfolio of gas-fired peaking plants (100MW+ total capacity) on behalf of a buyer in Autumn 2024.
The fleet spanned multiple 11kV and 33kV sites across the UK and featured engines from MTU, Caterpillar, and Guascor. Our review focused on asset condition, environmental and safety compliance (MCPD, DSEAR, PSSR), planning and lease obligations, and connection arrangements. We also benchmarked performance, assessed OPEX through SPV account analysis, and evaluated key contracts including LTSAs.
All work was delivered within an 8-week window, including site visits and board-level reporting—with an emphasis on actionable insights to support acquisition and long-term operational improvement.
